Dear Senior Class,
On behalf of the 2025-2026 senior editors, we would like to thank you for taking the time to read this special edition of The Oracle, our Senior Issue. We hope you saw pieces of yourselves reflected in these pages: your growth, your stories, your achievements, and the moments that defined your time here at South.
Over the past four years, together we have all faced challenges. Whether it be difficult courses, friendship breakups, uncertainty about the future, or all the other curveballs high school throws our way, each of you has had moments that tested you. Yet through it all, you persevered, grew, and made it to the end of the year. Congratulations!
As you stand on the brink of a new chapter, whether it is university, a gap year, or jumping into the workforce, you will undoubtedly face new, unprecedented challenges.
But growth is not linear. It never has been. There will be highs and lows, moments of confidence and moments of doubt, and it is important to remember that you can go at your own pace. In those moments, give yourself grace. After all, this is your story to write.
This year, The Oracle aimed higher than ever, and we are incredibly proud to share that our dedication to storytelling resulted in national recognition, winning first place in the nation from the National Scholastic Press Association. Yet, of all the accolades, our most meaningful work has always been capturing your voices. We have spent countless late nights writing and editing, pouring over interviews, and trying to perfectly encapsulate the spirit of this senior class. We want to make sure that when you look back, these memories feel as vivid as they did in the moment.
As the sun sets on your time here and you move on to great things, we hope you look back fondly on the memories and the unity of our senior year. Each of you have made it to the mountaintop, and now for a brief moment, you can rest, taking in triumphs. And while this chapter comes to a close, another one is waiting for you, right on the horizon.
Thank you for letting us tell your stories. Thank you for making this issue and each issue before this possible. We are incredibly proud of all of you, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you next.
