Interact collected enough blood to help 165 people during the club’s bi-annual blood drive held on March 13. About 50 students and staff donated blood in a center sent up in the Lyceum by Vitalant, the company that Interact works with, Vitalant then sends the blood to various hospitals all around the country. Science Teacher Jeffery Kurian explained how great of an opportunity this is for members of our community to give back, “It is a great way to get students who have never done it before the experience of donating blood and staff members to not have to go too far to donate as well.”
Sincere Students: Junior Chloe Beach donates one pint of blood during her free time. Beach fainted once before donating, but preserved.
