The Glenview Village Board voted to approve two new restaurants in downtown Glenview: Hometown Coffee & Juice and The Foxtail Glenview House, the Glenview Patch reported.
These new restaurants are part of a larger revitalization of downtown Glenview, the Patch reported. Hometown Coffee & Juice will open across from the downtown Metra station at 1869 Grove Street, and The Foxtail Glenview House will be located at 1834 Glenview Road, the Patch said.
The Foxtail Glenview House will serve Mediterranean Cuisine, and will be the third location of the restaurant, ac- cording to the Patch. Additionally, the new restaurant will honor the iconic Glenview restaurant, Glenview House in their name, the Patch said.
Foxtail Glenview House will receive a $1.5 million dollar loan, as well as a $1.4 million dollar grant from the Village to revamp the space, the Patch said. Furthermore, Hometown & Juice will receive a $500,000 grant from the Village to demolish the existing industrial building, outdoor dining space, and add surface parking, the Patch said.
The new Hometown Coffee & Juice will be the cafe’s fourth location, joining others in Glencoe, Lake Forest, and Winnetka. The cafe will serve freshly brewed coffees, smoothie bowls, and pastries, the Patch said.
More restaurants and activity downtown benefits every- one in Glenview, especially business owners, Michael Jenny, Glenview Village Board President told the Patch.
