Jelly Cookie: Cookies with a jelly center have never been my favorite; however, I found that the strawberry jam inside Jewel Osco’s jelly cookies provided a nice contrast to the rest of the cookie. However, the shortbread was a little bit dry and crumbly in my opinion, and it could’ve used more milk when it was being made. The jelly design in the middle made for a nice looking cookie. I would recommend this cookie if you are looking to try something new.
Kiss Cookie: The dough of Jewel Osco’s classic kiss cookies had a subtle cinnamon taste that complemented the Hershey’s Kiss well. The flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon worked together perfectly to create a delectable and tasty holiday cookie. If you want a cookie that is simple yet still delicious, I recommend this one.
Sugar Cookie: I’d have to say that Jewel Osco’s sugar cookies are my all time favorite. They are famous for their frosting and soft dough. This cookie can be a bit dry at times, though, requiring a glass of water or milk. However, this cookie takes the crown. I love the festive designs on the frosting paired with the classic sugar cookie. This cookie is a 10 out of 10.
Gingerbread Cookie: Jewel Osco’s gingerbread cookie was almost crunchy and snapped immediately. The first taste was a little strange but the aftertaste was much better. Although the gingerbread cookie is a staple when it comes to holiday baking, the taste and texture was strange, and I would not recommend this cookie.
