Signature Variety Show Feature: La Casa En El Aire

Members: Hannah Schiller, Danny Schiller, Jimmy Friedman, Ethan Larson, David Sucher

In a brother-sister duo act, senior Hannah Schiller and sophomore Danny Schiller perform a popular Flamenco Spanish song with the help of a band. According to Danny, in English, the song tells the story of a man who wants to build a house in the sky for the girl he loves.

Q: What was it like to work with your sister for your act?

A: “It’s really nice to do one with my sister because I don’t have to try to be someone I’m not with her. It’s really easy to perform well because I was comfortable around her. Plus, it was one of the only duets we have ever done together and it was really fun.” -sophomore Danny Schiller

Q: What was the experience of working with your brother like?

A: “It allowed me to be way more comfortable from the beginning of the process to have him there. We could really let loose and enjoy our act on stage because we knew we had each other’s support the whole time.” -senior Hannah Schiller

Q: What was your favorite part of your act?

A: “My favorite part of the act was when we got to the chorus and I got to look at Hannah while also singing to the crowd so I got to be reassured. When I looked at the crowd, then back at her, I felt less nervous and more comfortable.” –Danny
